Best Mexican Restaurant in Bakersfield

This is my favorite place for quick Mexican food. I'm addicted to their $6.99 spicy chicken burrito that's quite a feast. Folks there are nice and the service is quick! They also take the EBT hot foods program. The dollar chicken street tacos on Tuesdays are awesome!

Today I felt like waring some chilaquilles so I decided to give this restaurant a try. Ordered 2 Chilaquile plates with egss and Carne Asada. The chilaquiles weren't as crispy at all, but I did take out, so maybe the steam made them soggy, so I can not judge them on that. The salsa on the chilaquiles was not hot, but ... it did have flavor. The rice and beans were actually good. Overall, the food I have to rate them 5 stars. The service was good at first until I received my food. Once I paid, I waited maybe 5 minutes for the lady to hand me my plates. What threw me off a bit was the fact that when I was waiting, she suddenly opened the window, hands me my food, and closed the window. I wasn't sure if my food was complete since she didn't really say anything. Most places would say something like "Thank you,have a nice day." This lady didn't say a word ,didn't make any eye contact, nothing. A huge thing for me is customer service, and if I feel as if I'm not wanted in business, I never go back again. So even my 5 star review is based on the food. The customer service I give it a 2, because although she did greet me and took my order in a very polite matter, once I paid and waited, I felt as if she didn't want me there. I'm not sure why. With that being said, I don't see myself going back to this restaurant. 2/22/2023* update went there again since my wife wanted Mexican food. This time the Customer service was OUTSTANDING. The young lady with pierced nose is extremely professional and has great customer service. She deserves a raise. This time I got the fish taco trio, Wet Asada Burrito, 4 tacos asada, Carne Asada Nachos and 1 plain chicken taco. The food was great no complaints. The Service was even better. I dream about their shrimp burritos. Maybe it's the Sicilian in me but I've tried many places that offer fish or shrimp dishes and nothing compares. It only makes me want to go back to grab the real thing here at Fresco. I only regret not finding this place sooner. I love going through the drive thru with the family ... and ordering a dozen or more tacos. They are so delicious everyone says that they would love to eat more but they're always stuffed. Read More

We love the Breakfast Jr Supreme from Fresco Mexican Grill! Our family has also had some of their other burritos and tacos, and they were scrumptious too! Thinking we will get some burritos again over Thanksgiving weekend. 🤤 Happy to support a local business that makes great food 😍
